What first got you into music?
First, I grew up in a musical family. My father was a band director, a preacher and my biggest influence in music. My grandfather played guitar and piano in a local singing group. My aunts and a host of my cousins are talented singers and musicians.
When did you start playing music?
At age 5, my father taught me “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on the saxophone in my room. In 2000, I performed with a singing group, Young Singers of Darlington in Carnegie Hall, afterwards I received formal instruction on the saxophone in public school and have continued until now.
